The Reality Of Open Funds
Many open funds have not paid dividends in years, remain on watch list status, and rely on member loans to sustain costs—raising serious concerns about their performance and future returns.
Many open funds have not paid dividends in years, remain on watch list status, and rely on member loans to sustain costs—raising serious concerns about their performance and future returns.
Lack of Transparency and Performance Concerns
Yieldstreet promotes its investments as offering "consistent returns," yet many open funds have failed to meet expectations. A significant number of these funds:
Have not paid quarterly dividends for over two years, despite being marketed as income-generating investments.
Are on watch list status projecting losses of up to 100% of investor capital.
Have taken member loans to sustain costs rather than generating returns.
The Scope of the Issue
The full extent of Yieldstreet’s underperforming funds is difficult to determine because investors can only see the status of funds they are personally involved in. Yieldstreet does not provide a comprehensive list of funds on the watch list, leaving investors without a clear picture of how widespread the problem is.
Currently, at least 11 funds are confirmed to be on watch list status, though this number is likely higher. Below is a list of known funds facing serious performance concerns:
Chelsea Multi-Family Equity,Houston Multi-Family Equity,Michigan Multi-Family Equity, Nashville Multi-Family Equity, North Shore Boston Multi-Family Equity, Pompano Beach Multi-Family Equity, SFR Diversified Fund I, SFR Diversified Fund II
These funds remain open and theoretically could return capital in the future, but are all projected to return far less than 100% of investor capital.
Yieldstreet’s Silence on These Issues
Despite these ongoing struggles, Yieldstreet’s public-facing materials do not acknowledge the reality of these funds. Instead, the company continues to market "consistent returns" without disclosing the extent of open funds that are failing to generate income.
